                                              A Child Within

I do not mean to offend, but am I not right to say, so many adults
are really quite boring.

They wake to their newspaper, looking all so serious, with coffee
in hand.   As if they have the world on their shoulders,
they say good morning.

Flying off to work to play their adult role.  For playing a child’s game
they forgot, a time gone by so very long.

I would say within, very sad you know, their child is playing hide
and seek, perhaps forever gone.

However, some of us keep a child within, for we know a true gift
such as this must live to balance our lives.

It frees our spirit to let go of that adult stuff.  Our children, nieces,
and nephews love playing their games with us, laughing,
as they give their high fives.

Walt Disney said; ” That’s the real trouble with the world, too many
people grow up.   They forget.   They don’t remember what it’s like
to be twelve years old.”

How wise those words indeed, so dig deep to find your child within,
a completely new world will begin to unfold.

A blessing of keeping a child within, having fun, allowing those adult
inhibitions to get lost for awhile.  Enjoy the gift of being a child;
your stress will be relieved.

However, remember this, to find a child within,
you must believe.
